To sync local files from your Mac to your iPhone using Spotify, first make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Enable the local files option in Spotify settings on your Mac, then create a new playlist and add your local files. On your iPhone, go to the same playlist and download it while you're connected to the same Wi-Fi. Voilà, that's how I do it every time!
