In Hogwarts Legacy, identifying items is pretty straightforward. Most items you come across will automatically get added to your inventory with their details. For those few special items that might need a bit more insight, your character will usually find a book or an NPC that'll help make sense of them. So, keep an eye on your quests and talk to everyone you meet!

Honestly, there's no real traditional 'identify' mechanism in Hogwarts Legacy like in typical RPGs where you need a spell or NPC to figure out what mysterious items do. If you can pick it up, congrats, you know what it is and probably how to use it.

Just pick it up! Hogwarts Legacy doesn't make you jump through hoops to know what you've got. Everything's labeled as soon as you snag it. If it's something unique or needs a bit of explaining, the game will guide you on what to do next.

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
