Switch your DNS settings to Google's DNS. Go to Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Custom > Manual, and then set Primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and Secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4.

Pause and resume the download. Sometimes, this little trick magically speeds things up. It鈥檚 like giving your PS3 a gentle nudge.

Restart your router and PS3. I know, I know, classic IT advice, but it works more often than you鈥檇 think.

Honestly, PS3 download speeds just aren鈥檛 great. Might be time to consider upgrading to a PS4 or PS5 for better performance.

Try using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi. Wired connections are usually more stable and faster. Also, make sure no one else in the house is hogging all the bandwidth.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
