Hey, so installing Windows on your Steam Deck is totally doable! First, you’ll need a Windows installation media like a USB drive. Then, power off your Deck and connect the USB. Hold down the volume down button and press the power button to enter the boot menu, select your USB, and follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows. Boom, you’re good to go!

Short and sweet: Grab a USB with the Windows installer, boot from it, and follow the instructions. Easy peasy!

I did this the other week! You need a USB drive with Windows installation files. Boot from the USB (hold volume down + power), and install like you would on any other PC. Make sure you download all the correct drivers from Valve’s site after!

Just stick to SteamOS. It’s optimized for the Deck and you’ll avoid potential headaches with drivers and performance issues.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
