You can also try to find the game they’re playing by using the search function and then hope to randomly join the same server. It's like a virtual scavenger hunt!
Honestly, just send a friend request again. Awkward, but it works.
Another way is to join the same group as them. Check if they’re in any public groups and join those. Sometimes you can see what games group members are playing and join from there.
