Simple! Just open the game, head to 'Play', then 'Private Game'. From there, just enter your friend's server name or join through the Steam friends list if they’ve sent you an invite. Happy hunting!

Been there, done that! Go to 'Play', select 'Online Play', then use the 'Join Game' option. If your friend has a password-protected server, make sure you have the password handy.
