Just press and hold the PS button on your controller, select 'Sound/Devices' from the Quick Menu, then adjust the volume from there.

Settings > Devices > Controllers; from there, you can tweak the volume to your liking. Took me a few seconds!

Go to 'Settings' > 'Devices' > 'Controllers' and adjust the volume slider under 'Volume Control (Speaker for Controller)'. Easy peasy!
