Oh, the flimsy shovel saga! First, snag yourself a DIY recipe for it. You can get this from Blathers when he first arrives, or buy it from the cabinet in Nook's Cranny. Once you have the recipe, gather up 5 hardwood pieces. Head over to any DIY workbench, and craft away. Voila, you're now the proud owner of a flimsy shovel. Use it wisely; it's not the sturdiest out there!

Pro tip: Always have a spare flimsy shovel. When you least expect it, smack - it breaks. They don't last long, so crafting or buying an extra saves a trip or a crafting session in the middle of your fossil-finding spree.

Just buy it, honestly. Time is bells, my friend. Save yourself the hustle and grab one from Nook's Cranny if you can't be bothered to craft.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
