Nope, can’t do hardware backward compatibility on a PS3 Slim. Time to dust off the original PS3 or look for remastered games on the PlayStation Store.

As a long-time PS3 Slim owner, I can confirm it doesn’t support backward compatibility with PS2 games. But good news, lots of classics are available for download on the PlayStation Store. I've relived many memories this way!

PS3 Slim can’t play PS2 discs directly. Better option: Look for those games in the PlayStation Store.

Unfortunately, the PS3 Slim doesn't support hardware-based backward compatibility like the original PS3 models. But you can still download and play some of the older PlayStation games through the PlayStation Store. Just check if your favorite titles are available there!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
