Tap on the room you want to enlarge, then drag the wall to the desired size. Voila, more space!

Enlarge the room by going into the house editor, selecting the room, then dragging the room's walls outwards to the desired size.

TBH, you just need to tap the room, hold, and drag to make it bigger. Easy peasy.
