You can make RetroArch look like PS3 by downloading a PS3 XMB (Cross Media Bar) theme and applying it in the 'Menu' settings. Go to Settings > Driver > Menu and select 'XMB' as your menu driver, then customize the theme to match the PS3 look.

Honestly, just switch the menu driver to 'XMB' and it already looks pretty close to PS3. Simple as that!
