First, make sure you unplug everything. Then, take off the top cover by removing the screws (they might be under stickers or rubber feet). Be careful not to void your warranty, if it's still valid!

If you're gonna take apart your PS3, you better have some Torx screwdrivers ready, and a lot of patience. Look up some YouTube tutorials for a visual guide鈥攖rust me, it's easier to follow!

I've done it myself! Make sure you unplug it, remove the hard drive cover, and then unscrew the case screws. A Torx T8 and Phillips screwdriver will do the trick. Watch out for hidden screws under stickers!

Honestly, just take it to a professional. Less hassle and no risk of turning your PS3 into a fancy, broken paperweight.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
