Just get Overwatch 2 through Battle.net using Proton, easy peasy. Overwatch 2 isn’t on Steam, but Proton’s magic makes it run.

To play Overwatch 2 on your Steam Deck, you’ll have to install it via the Proton compatibility layer, which lets you run games not natively supported on Linux. First, make sure you've enabled Proton in your Steam Deck’s settings. Then, install Battle.net through a compatibility tool like Proton or Lutris. From there, you can download and install Overwatch 2 through the Battle.net launcher. Remember to check ProtonDB for the best Proton version and any tweaks you might need!

Played Overwatch 2 on my Steam Deck and it was awesome! Just make sure to update Proton for the best experience. Had to tweak some settings, but after that, it was smooth sailing.

Honestly, just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Overwatch 2’s performance on Steam Deck using Proton can be hit or miss. Better play it on a platform it was actually designed for.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
