I had to juggle between Pokemon GO and Google Maps once. It's doable but not ideal. Just be careful to not miss any rare spawns!

Unfortunately, Pokemon GO doesn't support split screen mode natively. You'll have to switch between apps the old-fashioned way.

If you're on Android, you can try using the built-in split screen feature. Just swipe up and hold, then drag Pokemon GO to the top and another app to the bottom.
