Most PS3 games support 720p. Not every game can do 1080p even if you set the console to output it.

From my experience, tweak the display settings to 1080p, but remember that many games will still upscale from 720p.

Honestly? Just enjoy the game, whether it’s 720p or 1080p. Graphics ain't everything!

Easy. Go to the PS3's display settings, set the output to 1080p. Make sure your game supports it!
