Unfortunately, you can't play PS3 games on a PS4 directly without using PS Now. The PS4 doesn't have backward compatibility for PS3 discs.

Can't be done, my friend. No backward compatibility for PS3 games on PS4 unless you use PS Now.

The PS4 doesn't support playing PS3 games natively. Your best bet is to look for remastered versions of PS3 games available for PS4.
