The only way to play your PS3 games on a laptop is by using a capture card. Connect the PS3 to the capture card via HDMI, then the capture card to your laptop via USB. Download the capture card's software and follow the setup instructions!

Just get a video capture card. Hook up the PS3 to the capture card with an HDMI cable, and then plug the capture card into your laptop through a USB port. Easy peasy!

You can't directly connect your PS3 to a laptop with an HDMI cable because laptops have HDMI-out ports, not HDMI-in. You'll need a video capture device to make this work. Plug the PS3 into the capture device, and then connect the device to your laptop through USB. This setup lets you display and play your PS3 games on your laptop screen.

Honestly, it's much easier to just play on a TV or monitor. Laptops aren't designed to take HDMI input, and workaround solutions are clunky at best.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
