Easy peasy! Just start up Black Ops 3 on your PS3, head to the Multiplayer menu, and press X on the second controller. Boom! You're in split screen mode.

Just connect a second controller, go to the Multiplayer or Zombies mode, and press X on the second controller. Done!

From personal experience, as long as both controllers are connected and synced to your PS3, just pressing X on the second controller in Multiplayer or Zombies will pop them into the game. It's a seamless setup!
