Make sure your videos are in a compatible format like MP4 or AVI. Plug in the USB drive, navigate to the Video menu, and select your USB device. Keep in mind the PS3 may not recognize some USB drives; if this happens, try another drive or format your current one to FAT32.

Easy peasy! Plug your USB into the PS3, go to the Video section in the XMB (cross media bar), and select your USB device. Then just find your video file and press X to start playing. Enjoy!
