Here's a quick fix: create a shortcut for `XCOM2.exe` (usually found in the `XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64` folder) and use that to start the game. No launcher hassle!

You can also bypass the 2K launcher by launching the game directly from the executable file in the game's installation folder. Simple and fast!

Hey, fellow XCOM commander! Just right-click XCOM 2 in your Steam library, go to Properties, and under the General tab, type `-nohmd` in the launch options. Boom, no more 2K launcher!

I just edited the shortcut target to directly link to the main executable file (e.g., `"C:\Games\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\XCOM2.exe"`). Works like a charm!

Hot take: Just deal with the launcher. It's not that intrusive and you won't have to mess with any settings.
