Easy peasy! Open Steam, go to Settings > Controller > Guide Button Chord Configuration. There you can map the back buttons to any action you like.

Hey! You just need to use Steam Input. Open Steam, go to your game library, right-click the game, select Manage > Controller Configuration, and assign the back buttons to your preferred functions.

I did this last week! Go into Big Picture Mode, select your game, then controller configuration, and map the back buttons. Boom, done!
