Been redeeming codes for years. It's a breeze. Open Steam, 'Activate a Product on Steam' under Games, and enter your code. Never had a problem.

Redeeming on Steam is easy peasy! Just open your Steam client, click on 'Games' at the top menu, then select 'Activate a Product on Steam...' Follow the prompts, punch in your code, and boom - game on!
