Quick tip: Reinstalling SteamOS? Make sure your USB drive is 8GB or larger and formatted to FAT32. No need to lose all your game progress 'cause of a small slip like that!

Honestly, unless you're troubleshooting some serious issues, reinstalling SteamOS on your Steam Deck might be overkill. It's a solid system out of the box. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Reinstalling SteamOS on your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward. First, you'll need to download the SteamOS recovery image from the official Steam support site. Then, grab a USB drive (make sure it's FAT32 format) and slap that image onto it. Power off your Steam Deck, press the volume down button along with the power button to boot into Recovery Mode, and then follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall. Make sure you've backed up your games and saves, though, unless you want to start your gaming journey from scratch!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
