Honestly, just get a dedicated app or device for Xbox remote play. The Steam Deck is cool and all, but it's not really meant for Xbox games. You can try workarounds, but they're usually more hassle than they're worth.
Been there, done that. Used the method of accessing Xbox remote play through the Steam Deck's desktop mode and a web browser.
