You can't really remove a Pokémon from Pokémon GO, but you can transfer Meltan to Professor Willow! Just tap on the Meltan, go to the menu, and hit ‘Transfer’.

If you want to get rid of Meltan, use the transfer option to send it to Professor Willow for candies. I did this with my extra Melmetal!
