The game auto-saves every 15 minutes or so, but you can force a manual save by using the 'admincheat saveworld' command if you're the host.

To save your game on Ark PS4, you just need to open the menu by pressing the Options button and then choose 'Save and Exit.' Your progress should save automatically when you exit.
