In Build Mode, just select the room, find the bulldozer icon, and tap it to sell the room. Easy peasy!

I've done this myself: go into Build Mode, tap on the room you want to nix, then tap the bulldozer symbol. Goodbye, room! Hello, Simoleons!

To sell a room in The Sims FreePlay, go to Build Mode, tap on the room you want to delete, and hit the bulldozer icon. Voila! It's gone and you'll get some Simoleons back.
