Honestly, just ignore them. They'll find the fridge eventually.
To serve food to a grumpy Sim, prepare a meal using a stove or microwave, then tap the grouchy Sim and select 'Eat.' They'll get over it soon enough.
Just cook up some food and tap on the grouchy Sim. Then choose the option to serve them a meal. They might cheer up... eventually!
