Actually, just get a professional to do it. Not worth the risk if you're not sure.

Don't overthink it. Just slide the top cover to the left after turning it off and unplugging it. Done and done!

First, make sure your PS4 is powered off and unplugged. Then, gently slide the glossy top cover to the left until it clicks and lifts off. Easy peasy!

I just did this last week! Turn off your PS4, unplug it, and slide the left side of the top panel to the left. It should pop right off!

Unplug the PS4 and place it on a flat surface. Press down on the glossy panel and slide it to the left. It'll come right off!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
