Check the lights on the PS3 controller! When it's charging, you'll see the light bar blinking. When it's done, the blinking stops and the light bar turns off. Easy peasy!

I usually just leave mine charging overnight鈥攏ever had any issues. But yeah, just look for the non-blinking light, that's the main clue.

Plug it into the console and press the PS button. If the battery indicator shows three solid bars, you're good to go. No rocket science here!
