For GTA 5, you can transfer your GTA Online character from PS3 to PS4 by using Rockstar Social Club. Link your PS3 account to your Rockstar Social Club account, then log in to your PS4 and follow the prompts to transfer your character.

I transferred my character from PS3 to PS4 back in the day. Just make sure you have a Rockstar Social Club account linked to your PS3. When you log in on your PS4, you'll get an option to bring over your character!

You can't transfer single-player saves, but your GTA Online character transfer is pretty painless鈥攋ust sync with Rockstar Social Club.

Unfortunately, there's no direct way to transfer GTA 5 story mode progress from PS3 to PS4. You can only transfer your GTA Online character.
