You can update your PS3 using a USB drive. Download the update file from the PlayStation website, save it to a folder named 'UPDATE' within a 'PS3' folder on your USB drive. Plug it into your PS3 and navigate to Settings > System Update > Update via Storage Media. Boom, done!

Easy peasy! Just go to Settings > System Update, and choose 'Update via Internet.' Your PS3 will download and install the latest software automatically.

Make sure your PS3 is connected to Wi-Fi, head over to System Update in Settings, and select 'Update via Internet.' Piece of cake!

Honestly, you should just stick with an older version if you don鈥檛 need the latest features. Why risk breaking something?

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
