Download the update from the PlayStation website, make sure to put it in a 'PS3/UPDATE' folder structure on your flash drive, plug it in, and update via 'System Update' in the settings.

First, download the latest PS3 update from the official PlayStation website. Next, create a folder named 'PS3' on your flash drive, and within that folder, create another folder named 'UPDATE'. Place the downloaded file in that 'UPDATE' folder. Plug the flash drive into your PS3, navigate to 'Settings', then 'System Update', and select 'Update via Storage Media'. Follow the on-screen instructions, and you鈥檙e all set!

Just put the update file in PS3/UPDATE on your USB, plug it into your PS3, and update via storage media.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
