I use mine by plugging the base station directly into the PS5's USB port. Works like a charm for both audio and chatting!

You can use the Astro A50 on PS5 without an adapter by connecting it via USB to the console for audio. For the microphone, you'll need to set the 'Audio Output' to 'USB Headset' in the settings.
