Super easy! Just press the mic button on the controller to turn it on or off. It's right under the PlayStation button. You're all set!

So, on your PS5 controller, there's a small button with a mic icon just below the PS button. Press it to toggle the mic on and off. When it's orange, the mic is muted.

Honestly, using the built-in mic on the PS5 controller isn't the best. Get a dedicated headset for better sound quality.
