To use MMCM on your PS3, first install the latest version of multiMAN. Once installed, launch multiMAN, then switch to MMCM mode from the settings. You can manage your backups and homebrew from there.

I've been using MMCM on my PS3 for years. Just make sure you have a jailbroken console, install multiMAN, switch to MMCM mode from the settings, and you're good to go!
