Actually, you don't need to do anything special. The Steam Deck is literally designed to be recognized as a controller when you plug it into a PC. Valve thought of everything!

Super simple! Just connect your Steam Deck to your PC via a USB-C cable. Then, launch Steam on your PC and the Steam Deck should automatically be recognized as a controller. You can then configure the buttons to your liking in Steam's controller settings. It's pretty much plug-and-play!

Nope, doesn't work like you'd think. Steam Deck's primary function is a portable PC, not a controller. Better off with a dedicated gamepad.
