Watching movies on your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward! You can use the desktop mode to access streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime through a web browser. Alternatively, you can install the Android version of these apps by setting up the Steam Deck for Android apps. Just remember, you'll need to be in desktop mode to easily navigate and install stuff outside of the Steam Store.

Honestly, I just use the web browser in desktop mode to watch movies. Streaming sites work fine, and it keeps things simple. No need to overcomplicate it with extra installs.

I disagree with everyone making it sound complicated. Just switch to desktop mode and treat it like a PC. Use Netflix, YouTube, or whatever you want in the browser. Easy peasy.

Just download VLC Media Player from the Discover Store in desktop mode. It's perfect for playing downloaded movies or videos you already have!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
