Unfortunately, ARK: Survival Evolved does not support cross-platform play between Xbox and PS4. You'll need to stick to playing with friends who own the same console.

Nah, it’s not cross-platform. Tried it myself; my buddy on Xbox couldn't join my PS4 game.
