Chikorita is decent for certain situations, especially in the Great League with the right moveset. Don't expect it to be a top-tier choice though.

Chikorita can be a good pick for some niche battles, but it generally doesn't stand out among grass-type Pokemon.

Meh, you're better off with Bulbasaur or Treeko if you're looking for a strong grass-type.

I tried using Chikorita in a few battles, and it's decent, but definitely not the best. Stick to evolving it for Meganium.
