Is Fallout 76 considered Canon in the Fallout series?
Nah, I don't buy it. Just because it's online and a bit different doesn't mean it suddenly gets booted from the family. Fallout 76 adds to the lore, expanding the universe with its unique setting and events. It's as canon as the rest!

Fallout 76? Canon? For sure. It's got all the Fallout hallmarks: vaults, mutants, and the quest for survival. Plus, it digs into the early post-war history, filling in gaps and adding depth.
Absolutely, Fallout 76 is as canon as it gets! It's developed by Bethesda Game Studios, the same folks who brought us the rest of the Fallout series. Since it's set in the Fallout universe, 25 years after the Great War, it adds its own chapter to the saga, introducing us to West Virginia's post-apocalyptic world.
As someone who's spent way too much time in Appalachia, I can tell you Fallout 76 feels every bit a part of the Fallout universe. From the moment you step out of Vault 76, the world, the lore, it's all Fallout through and through.
