Nope! Tetris 99 has a single-player mode called CPU Battle where you can play against 98 computer-controlled opponents. Enjoy the chaos solo!

If you don't like multiplayer mayhem, grab the Big Block DLC for Tetris 99. It lets you play solo!

Actually, Tetris 99 offers some single-player game modes if you buy the Big Block DLC. You get CPU Battle and Marathon Mode.
