Is the power cord the same for PS3 and PS4?
Nope, the PS3 and PS4 use different power cords. The PS3 uses a standard IEC C7 (figure-8) cord while the PS4 uses an IEC C13 (kettle plug) cord. So, you can't just swap them!

Short answer: No, they use different types.
Nope, totally different cords! I found this out the hard way when upgrading from PS3 to PS4. Make sure you have the right one for each console.
