I gotta say, the Banpresto figures are top-notch! They don't have the same articulation as SH Figuarts, but the sculpting and paint job are some of the best you'll find.
Speaking from experience, the Figure-rise Standard model kits are splendid if you love a little DIY. Building Goku or Vegeta from scratch adds a whole new layer of fun!
Hot take: Dragon Stars series by Bandai is quite underrated. They鈥檙e affordable, decently detailed, and ideal for both kids and collectors.
