From my experience, XL Pokemon are normal Pokemon that weigh and/or are taller than average. Caught one last week, and it was HUGE!

XL Pokemon are just bigger versions of normal Pokemon, and you can catch them in the wild or hatch them from eggs!

They're basically super-sized Pokemon. You can spot them by the 'XL' next to their CP. They don’t have higher stats, just bigger bodies.

Honestly, XL Pokemon are just regular Pokemon with extra pounds. Doesn’t really affect their performance much.
