The PS3 controller uses a Mini USB cable for charging. Just make sure you don't mix it up with Micro USB!

Mini USB. It's ancient tech, but it works!

You need a Mini USB cable to charge the PS3 controller. It was the standard before Micro USB took over.

I still use my PS3, and the controller charges with a Mini USB cable. Easy to find online or in old drawers!
