From what I've heard, Indian jail food is usually rice and dal, sometimes with chapati and a small portion of veggies—nothing fancy.

Rice, dal, and chapati—if you're lucky, maybe a veggie or two. It's as basic as it gets.

Primarily, inmates get a simple diet of rice, dal, and roti, with occasional veggies. It's far from a gourmet experience!

Indian jails serve staple foods like rice, lentils, and roti. It's meant to be nutritious but not exactly tasty.

In Indian jails, the food is pretty basic and usually consists of rice, lentils (dal), vegetables, and chapati. Don't expect any butter chicken or biryani here!
