The AOSS button (AirStation One-Touch Secure System) is used to easily connect the PS3 to wireless networks, especially if you're using Buffalo routers. It’s not found on the PS3 itself but on compatible routers.

Basically, AOSS is Buffalo's fancy easy Wi-Fi setup button. You'll mostly find it on Buffalo routers, not on the PS3.
