Special Trades in Pokemon GO include trading Legendary, Shiny, or Pokemon not already in your Pokedex. They also cost extra Stardust, so be prepared!

If you're trying to trade Mewtwo or a Shiny Charizard, that's a Special Trade! You can only do one of those per day.

Any trade involving a Legendary Pokemon, a Shiny Pokemon, or a Pokemon you don't have registered in your Pokedex.
