Pokémon GO runs best on iOS phones with iOS 12 or higher and Android phones with OS 6.0 or higher that have at least 2 GB of RAM.
I've been playing on my Android with OS 6.0 and 2GB RAM, and it runs as smooth as a Pikachu's tail!
Hot take: Any phone that doesn't support Pokémon GO probably isn't worth using anyway. Upgrade, it's worth it!
